Mandelic Peels
Alpha hydroxy acids are one of the most powerful tools available in the skin care industry. They are found in plant extracts and help to rejuvenate the skin. Many of them, however, can be too strong for certain skin types.
Because of the molecular size of Mandelic acid, an almond extract, it is well tolerated by virtually all skin types, including sensitive skin types such as rosacea.
For Darker complexions
Mandelic acid is one of the few ingredients recommended for those with darker complexions, who might experience hyperpigmentation from similar ingredients such as hydroquinone. Because mandelic acid is absorbed at a slower rate than many other ingredients, it does not disrupt the melanin in the skin.
From acne to hyperpigmentation to wrinkles, this new skin care helps to bring clarity and balance while causing virtually no irritation.
Mandelic acid is also recommended is a pre- and post-laser treatment, reducing the amount and length of irritation caused by laser resurfacing.
How it works
Mandelic acid works by breaking up the bond between skin cells, leading to an increased rate of cellular turnover. This is beneficial because it purges the skin of dead skin cells, which can lead to wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and acne, among other conditions. The treatment is ideal for the following conditions:
- Acne & Oily Skin
- Anti Ageing
- Pigmentation
- Rosacea
