VI Peels
VI PEEL is a medium-strength chemical peel that combines several types of acids and vitamins to create a synergistic effect. It is designed to treat a wide range of skin issues safely and effectively – even for those with sensitive or darker skin tones. It has a unique blend of ingredients, including TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid), Retin-A (Tretinoin), Salicylic Acid, Phenol, and Vitamin C.
Even those with younger skin that shows no visible signs of ageing, the VI Peel can serve as a preventative measure against ageing.

Contraindications:
Those with allergies to any of the ingredients above and women who are pregnant or nursing should not undergo a VI Peel.
Key things to know
- This is not suitable if you have keloid scarring.
- If you get cold sores, you will need to start treatment in the week before the peel.
- In general, the best results are seen at about 28 days, but results can be seen at 7 days.
- You will need to engage in a good skincare programme to help to maintain results and prevent recurrence of your skin issue.
Aftercare
We will provide you with a take-home kit and post-treatment instructions to ensure proper healing. This includes a mild cleanser, retinoid towelettes, A VI Derm Moisturizer and hydrocortisone cream.
It’s important to follow your provider’s instructions to prevent side effects and to ensure your skin looks its best once healing is complete. These instructions include things like avoiding harsh cleansers, direct sun exposure, hot environments and picking the peeling skin.
What to Expect
- Day 1–2: Your skin may feel tight or look slightly red, similar to a mild sunburn.
- Day 3–5: Peeling begins—mostly light flakes around the mouth, chin, or cheeks.
- Day 6–7: The peeling subsides and you will begin to see fresh, renewed skin.
- Week 2 onward: Your skin continues to regenerate, showing enhanced glow and clarity.

Following the treatment, the skin is expected to peel for approximately 7 days. Once the peeling subsides, you will see noticeable improvements in the skin’s appearance within a week. The benefits of the VI Peel can continue to enhance the skin’s condition over time, and continued improvement may be seen even months after the initial treatment.
The skin is cleaned and then the peel applied. For the first few seconds you might feel some stinging. The peel is left on after the treatment, for at least 4 hours, and you will be given instructions for how to remove it at home.
Immediately after the peel has been applied to the skin, it may look yellow. Dark areas of skin may appear darker, as the pigment is lifted from the skin. On about day 3-4 the skin peeling with begin, and it will stop around days 6 -7. The level of peeling differs greatly, depending on the area, type of skin and condition of skin. Some may experience significant peeling while others very little to none but will still receive all the benefits of the VI Peel.
The frequency of VI Peel treatments can vary depending on individual skin needs and goals. While having a VI Peel every three to four months is a standard recommendation, the optimal schedule may differ for each person.
For optimal results, we recommend a series of 3-4 VI Peels, although many patients see significant results with just one treatment.
