The ZO System
The ZO system was specifically formulated to address common aesthetic skin problems including sun-damage, fine lines, dry skin, oily skin, large pores, age/sun spots and pigmentation. The incorporation of retinol and antioxidants provides an effective strategy for improving and maintaining healthy skin.
The ZO system combines retinol (Vitamin A), the key ingredient, with various other components including antioxidants, anti-inflammatory agents, peptides, growth factor serums and skin brighten-ers, all of which have their own specific role.
Retinol is a scientifically proven, highly potent topical anti-ageing agent, The use of micro encapsu-lation technology allows stabilisation of the retinol molecule, preventing oxidation and enhancing absorption through the epidermis. This results in increased efficacy and less irritation.
Retinol based skin rejuvenation
Retinoids, derived from Vitamin A, regulate cellular metabolism. They stimulate skin cell turn-over (cell proliferation and exfoliation of the epidermis), promote collagen production and protect against free radicals.
Application of high-dose topical retinol (1% or more) usually results in a significant improvement to photodamaged skin, specifically pigmentation, skin elasticity, skin texture and skin tone, within 60-90 days.

Strong therapeutic and prescription-strength product formulations, providing solutions for a wide range of skin disorders and chronic conditions.
ZO Medical Products include: high-dose retinol based products for stimulation, repair and exfoliation (Retamax) and non-hydroquinone pigmentation control (Brightenex); cleansers and toners to suit various types of skin; oil control pads (Cebatrol) for exfoliation and deep cleaning of pores; Hydrafirm Eye Brightening Repair Crème for potent restoration of the periorbital skin and improvement of dark circles. The ZO 3-Step Stimulation Peel is a medium-strength skin peel (10% TCA combined with salicylic, lactic acid and 6% retinol stimulation crème), with minimum downtime.
