Dr McGregor offers expert diagnosis, treatment and advice to private patients at London Dermatology. She currently holds the post of Consultant Dermatologist at Barts Health NHS Trust and is a member of the Royal Society of Medicine, the Royal College of Physicians, and the British Association of Dermatologists.

Dr McGregor is at the forefront of dermatology education in the UK, both through her own teaching and through her work setting the standards in some of London’s finest teaching hospitals. She is currently Director of undergraduate dermatology education at Barts and The London, a senior lecturer at Queen Mary University of London and an examiner for the University of London Final MB.
She is a leading figure on the legal and ethical aspects of dermatology practice. Her informed and expert advice is sought by both legal professionals and her fellow doctors and consultants.
Dermatology training and specialisation
Dr McGregor is a highly qualified specialist, graduating from Cambridge University with a first class honours degree and receiving a distinction in her clinical medicine and pharmacology training at Guy’s Hospital. Her general medical training took place at the highly regarded Royal Brompton and Hammersmith Hospitals in London, where she achieved membership of the Royal College of Physicians before going on to specialise in dermatology at the prestigious St John’s Institute of Dermatology.
Dr McGregor’s work in the field of skin cancer earned her a Doctorate of Medicine in 2000, and she has gone on to publish over a hundred peer-reviewed papers on the subject in leading medical journals. With over 30 years of experience and expertise behind her, she has gained a global reputation in the field of skin disease and skin cancer in patients who have received an organ transplant.
Active in dermatology research
Dr McGregor plays an active role in the cutting edge research at the Blizard Institute of Cell and Molecular Science Centre for Cutaneous Research at Barts and The London, investigating the development and treatment of skin cancer in inmmunosuppressed patients. She is also a senior lecturer at the institute, and an honorary consultant dermatologist with a special interest in photobiology and skin cancer, looking particularly the role of drugs in UV-mediated skin cancers.
