Colin Hopper is a Consultant Head and Neck Surgeon at UCLH as well as the programme director for the MSc and MClin Dent program at UCL Eastman Dental Institute.
Colin has worked at the National Medical Centre since 1991, leading various research projects on the use of photodynamic therapy in the treatment of oral squamous cell carcinoma. This is currently one of the worlds largest programmes.
He is the international authority on photodynamic therapy for head and neck cancer, and his work has produced over 100 publications. His specialist areas of interest include photodynamic therapy (PDT) and optical diagnosis for tumour diagnosis, mapping and surveillance.
