Dr Eugene Ong

Consultant Dermatologist

Dr Eugene Ong is a dual-qualified UK-trained dermatologist and Royal College of Pathology and European board certified skin pathologist who also works as an NHS consultant at St George’s and Queen Mary’s Hospital, London. He consults on all aspects of dermatology, including general dermatology and skin surgery. His special interests include male genital dermatology, moles, acne, psoriasis, eczema and skin cancer.

He graduated from Oxford University with an MB ChB and MA in Medical Sciences (Neuroscience), trained at Chelsea Westminster and University College London hospitals, and St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne. He undertook a two year fellowship in Dermatopathology at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, and was elected British Society of Dermatopathology trainee representative and British Association of Dermatology (BAD) dermatology co-trainee representative.

He sits on the editorial advisory board for the BAD’s academic journal Clinical Experimental Dermatology, and has published 18 peer-reviewed articles for high impact journals like the JAAD and has appeared on BBC News and BBC Radio for his work. He is a lecturer and founder of the BAD “Dermatopathology Made Easy” course. He has won national awards, including the LD path Dermatopathology Cup first prize at the BAD national conference.
